Happy new year everyone!! Spend my second day of new year at Subang Lake. Really had a great time this evening just chilling, relaxing and enjoying the scenery. It may be located in the city, but still, if you choose to enjoy, every second can be very meaningful and fun. Shot a picture of Sun Set. My first time I think. It has been such a long time since I last seen sun set.

And I never knew there are orchid trees there too!! I've gathered those that have fallen from the tree back home. They are just so lovely. Like it so much...

Tertiary Merit Scholarship

Okay, I wanted to blog about this few months ago but I was just too busy until I've forgotten about it. It's about the Tertiary Merit Scholarship that I got from Taylor's......

I must say although I only got the lowest amount which is definitely not enough to cover my degree course fee, but I still thank God for it, because later that God has blessed me with something more exciting and better.

As a Tertiary Merit Scholarship scholar, you will get a certificate and a gift of achievement. I must the gift that they gave was cool !!!! Taylor's hardcover notebook. It is really nice. I really do not have the heart to use it yet. Haha.

Thank You Lord for this scholarship :-)

Skinzense

Yay!!! Went facial for the first time at Skinzense, First Subang Mall with Yan Yin and Pei Jing. It's really worth it because they are having promotion for first trial at RM38 (normal price is RM88).

Me, after coming out from the facial room. Haha.

Other than that, finally bought mascara for myself after desiring it for so long, RM38 per set, which consists of Transplanting Gel and Fibre. Normal price would be at RM138 per set. One thing I like bout this mascara is that its case is super nice !!!! Got jewels on it !!!! Haha.
Excited !!! Went karaoke again for the second time. Haha. I must say that karaoke is kinda fun.

That's all about my time out today. Waiting for my sister to come meet me soon and we will have more exciting time together. I love my holidays. Hehe.

Academic Excellence Award

I just got a good news this evening from my mom regarding the Taylor's Academic Excellence Award. Thanks to Taylor's for awarding me 2 awards based on my Foundation results: the Dean's List Award and Book Prize Award for Business Statistics subject. I really didn't expect that I will get any award as I have never thought that I will actually score the highest mark for a subject and be one of the top students in an education institution. God has truly blessed me so much and He has really helped me to go through my Foundation life. Despite the challenges and pressures that I've faced, I managed to get through every single obstacle. Although I didn't get the highest amount of Scholarship but the lowest amount from Taylor's for my degree course, (which is definitely not enough to cover my degree fees), God has a greater blessing and reward for me. From this situation, I learnt that we might not get whatever that we hope for or the best things that we wish for especially when we need it in a short time, but always know that God has a greater thing for us, greater than the things that we hope, greater than the things we expect in our lives. So do not feel discouraged when things don't happen according to what we pray for, but just keep on trusting and have faith in God, because God's timing is always perfect and He will fulfill your needs and desires according to His timing.

So, tomorrow will be the ceremony and I'll be attending even though I did not RSVP because I knew about it after the deadline. Hopefully they will let me in. Haha. Shall call the Divisional Office tomorrow morning to confirm my attendance and see how it goes.

Sometimes, when things don't go well, when I'm struggling with something, when I'm frustrated at something, I just feel like doing this one thing.

Hug someone who is close to me and someone who is willing to share my sadness and just cry without having to explain the reason, without having to say a word because when I'm down, I don't like and want to talk about it. Just hug and cry. Yes, I find that just crying is good enough for me to feel better after that. At least I know I'm not alone. This is what I feel like doing right now.

Have you all ever feel angry or frustrated when someone just copy your work and they still get reward for it??? Well, I do honestly. The reason is because I've put in so much effort and time to make sure my work (assignments/tutorial questions) looks perfect and complete, and people just copy my work without having to really work hard on it or do anything, and yet they still can pass or get good results. I feel this is so unfair!!! I'm fine when you want to take my work and compare, and if there's any difference, then we can discuss. I really do not like this idea of copying each other's work !!! People who copy will not know how it feels like. But for those who really do their very best and make sure their work is good will understand the feeling (I think some of you might feel the same way too).

Sometimes I really wonder if I'm a selfish person that's why I don't like people to copy my work. I know generally people don't mind copying each other's work since everyone will come out with the same answers; but still if we keep on copying each other's work and don't understand what we are copying, or never even try to do it by ourselves, then we will never gain any knowledge in life !!! Yes, there's no point studying in that case !!!

And honestly, I do tell myself every time not to be so sensitive and be generous; but then when it happened and when I think of it, I just feel like CRYING and shouting !!!

Those protected treasures cannot be destroyed nor taken away, Jesus assures us.

Think of your resources: talent, time, knowledge. These are temporal and limited. But if you invest them with an eye toward eternity, these temporary things can have enduring impact. What is your focus? Now or forever? Invest in the future. It will not only have an eternal impact, but it will also change the way you view life each day.

It's Saturday !!! Doing my assignment with few people in new church office. Fun and cool !!! I have nothing much to say but just feel like blogging. Tonight I'm going to watch a choir performance. A team of choir from Medan, Indonesia. They performed in church yesterday during our combined cell group. They sang three songs and they were amazing. Their voices sound so perfect and awesome. It felt as if I was listening to the CD. They sang it with full of passion, feelings and emotions. What touched me the most was that, when they started singing, I could feel the presence of God was in that place. Was so genuine and real. So I really can't wait for tonight's performance. Really expecting a great time at CHC. Going to relax myself tonight and enjoy their singing.

Praying is good. I've learned that when I'm in difficulties especially with my studies, I pray. Prayer works. Prayer is powerful. Challenges may come. Pressures may come. But I'm learning to take challenges and pressures in life so that I can grow in wisdom and learn to be a better over-comer. I really thank God for my Foundation. That 1 year has taught me how to overcome my worries and stresses I had. I thank God for my spiritual family who are constantly praying and advising me when I'm facing any problems with my assignments and studies. I would never have changed so much if it's not because of them. Each semester, I'm learning something new which help me in my spiritual life. I really want to grow stronger spiritually and yes, I want to totally get rid of this 'negative spirit' in me. I want to be free from all these negative feelings and thoughts. 19th Birthday

Finally, I'm 19 years old already!!! I thank God for good friends who helped me to celebrate my birthday with me when I'm in Subang. I'm just going to share a little bit about what had happened for my birthday =)

First of all, I just want to say thank you again to all my friends for your birthday wishes on Facebook or SMS. Thank you all for being a friend to me :-)

Next, as most of you know, my birthday was on the 15th which was on a Thursday. But, surprisingly, my cell members did a birthday surprise for me 5 days before which is on a Sunday after service. I was totally shocked!!! My face was just blurred, confused and shocked when they sang 'happy birthday' for me because I didn't expect that there would be people surprising me days before my birthday.

Here's the cake that they bought for me :-) it's cute and sweet. Love it. Thanks again my cell members. Love you all.

Now, on my birthday, I got a cake from Ju Siong at 12++am. Hehe. Thanks Ju siong for the cake and lunch at Italiannies. Thanks for being such a good friend. I appreciate you.

Other than that, I want to thank my close friends I met during Foundation, See En and Kit Yee for the wonderful breakfast at Old Town Lakeside Campus. My first having people to celebrate it for me in the morning over breakfast. Hehe. Something special and unique. Love you girls.

Today, Jeremy celebrated my birthday for me =) we had a wonderful time out together. Enjoyed every moment of it.

Here's the cream of mushroom and herbs bread from TJ Haus at ss18. Of course we had other food as well, but this is just one of them that we ordered and it tasted real good. I love the cream of mushroom !! Really savor every mouth of it. Hehe. So, if you are finding a place to go during special occasions, I would recommend you all this restaurant, it's a nice place to have dinner. It's worth giving their food a try.

It wasn't just a dinner, but a present from Jeremy too. I really really love the gift as I was wishing for it for a very long time but couldn't afford it. But, now I owned it !!! Yay !!!

It's a Guy Laroche PURSE!!!! Was in need of a purse because my previous purse spoiled and looked too childish for me. That's why I'm so excited that I have a new purse to use already. And it's a purse that I really like :-)

Thanks dear for the wonderful gift :-) can never thank you enough. Love you lots and appreciate you always. Oh yeah, there was a lollipop inside too. Hehe.

This is a powerful message in our modern society. We seemed to have lost our bearing & our sense of direction.

One young academically excellent person went to apply for a managerial position in a big company.

He passed the first interview, the director who did the last interview, made the last decision.

The director discovered from the CV that the youth's academic achievements were excellent all the way, from the secondary school until the postgraduate research, never had a year when he did not score.

The director asked, "Did you obtain any scholarships in school?" the youth answered "none".

The director asked, " Was it your father who paid for your school fees?" The youth answered, "My father passed away when I was one year old, it was my mother who paid for my school fees.

The director asked, " Where did your mother work?" The youth answered, "My mother worked as clothes cleaner. The director requested the youth to show his hands. The youth showed a pair of hands that were smooth and perfect.

The director asked, " Have you ever helped your mother wash the clothes before?" The youth answered, "Never, my mother always wanted me to study and read more books. Furthermore, my mother can wash clothes faster than me.

The director said, "I have a request. When you go back today, go and clean your mother's hands, and then see me tomorrow morning.

The youth felt that his chance of landing the job was high. When he went back, he happily requested his mother to let him clean her hands. His mother felt strange, happy but with mixed feelings, she showed her hands to the kid.

The youth cleaned his mother's hands slowly. His tear fell as he did that. It was the first time he noticed that his mother's hands were so wrinkled, and there were so many bruises in her hands. Some bruises were so painful that his mother shivered when they were cleaned with water.

This was the first time the youth realized that it was this pair of hands that washed the clothes everyday to enable him to pay the school fee. The bruises in the mother's hands were the price that the mother had to pay for his graduation, academic excellence and his future.

After finishing the cleaning of his mother hands, the youth quietly washed all the remaining clothes for his mother.

That night, mother and son talked for a very long time.

Next morning, the youth went to the director's office.

The Director noticed the tears in the youth's eyes, asked: " Can you tell me what have you done and learned yesterday in your house?"

The youth answered, " I cleaned my mother's hand, and also finished cleaning all the remaining clothes'

The Director asked, " please tell me your feelings."

The youth said, Number 1, I know now what is appreciation. Without my mother, there would not the successful me today. Number 2, by working together and helping my mother, only I now realize how difficult and tough it is to get something done. Number 3, I have come to appreciate the importance and value of family relationship.

The director said, " This is what I am looking for to be my manager.I want to recruit a person who can appreciate the help of others, a person who knows the sufferings of others to get things done, and a person who would not put money as his only goal in life. You are hired."

Later on, this young person worked very hard, and received the respect of his subordinates. Every employee worked diligently and as a team. The company's performance improved tremendously.

A child, who has been protected and habitually given whatever he wanted, would develop "entitlement mentality" and would always put himself first. He would be ignorant of his parent's efforts. When he starts work, he assumes that every person must listen to him, and when he becomes a manager, he would never know the sufferings of his employees and would always blame others. For this kind of people, who may be good academically, may be successful for a while, but eventually would not feel sense of achievement. He will grumble and be full of hatred and fight for more. If we are this kind of protective parents, are we really showing love or are we destroying the kid instead?

You can let your kid live in a big house, eat a good meal, learn piano, watch a big screen TV. But when you are cutting grass, please let them experience it. After a meal, let them wash their plates and bowls together with their brothers and sisters. It is not because you do not have money to hire a maid, but it is because you want to love them in a right way. You want them to understand, no matter how rich their parents are, one day their hair will grow gray, same as the mother of that young person. The most important thing is your kid learns how to appreciate the effort and experience the difficulty and learns the ability to work with others to get things done.

Degree 1st Semester

It has been such a long time since I last updated my blog. Hehe.

Let me share a little about my degree life. I just started degree at the end of July. So currently I'm a Year 1 Semester 1 Student. So far everything is still okay for me. But, the subjects are a little harder. Coursework is also more complicated than what I did during my Foundation. Other than that, I have new classmates !!! Not so familiar with them yet but still going to try my best to get to know them. In my opinion, sticking with the same people all the time is good, but still we need to get to know and mix around with other people as well.

Aiming for excellent results is always what I want. Since, now I'm studying the course that I want rather than studying subjects that I don't have interest in, makes it easier for me to excel. Still, I need to put in my every effort and give my very best in all the things that I do. Challenges and difficulties may come but only through them I can learn and grow.

I really miss my foundation classmates because they are the ones who has accompanied me throughout my 1 year of Foundation. Whereas, in degree, I might get different classmates every semester. I'm praying and hoping that when I meet with different people every semester, I'm going to get friends with good influence and I'm going to be a healthy influence to them too.

I'm glad that I'm able to come this far. This is really because of God. Without Him, I don't think that I'll be able to pull through every obstacles in my life.

Yesterday was an amazing day. It was a fruitful day I would say. A day full of joy as well.

Firstly, I want to thank God for my results. Couldn't have done it this well without HIM in my life. I passed my Foundation and I got 3 High Distinction and 1 Distinction for my final semester. Praise the Lord for my results. It was a miracle ! Why? I didn't get to check my answers again for English paper because by the time I finished, it was the end of the duration. I thought I was going to fail or just get a pass. But, thank God that I did quite well =) Another subject is Economics. I found out that I did one careless mistake which also affects my other sub-questions when the invigilators started collecting our papers. So I ended up not having the time to correct it. That question itself I've already lost 6-8 marks which is a lot !!!!!! But thank God I still got HD for Economics =)

Furthermore, I would like to congratulate my dear friend, course mate and also a church member for his good results. Congratulations on your good results!!!! Proud of you!!!! Hope you will continue to be hardworking and continue to press on =)

Secondly, I worship led just now during our church combined cell meeting for the very first time. Thank God for His anointing and Holy Spirit. I'm always glad to be able to serve Him in church.

Thirdly, I saw on the student portal about the new Taylor's shuttle bus schedule. They are stopping at a new destination which is First Subang. Initially, I wasn't sure of where it is, but after google-ing it, Hallelujah!!!! It is just located behind my house. I'm even more excited!!!! It's so much safer!!! Lord, you are just so amazing. You can do exceedingly and abundantly, more than what we can ask for.

Best Actress

Just last week, it was our Moral Video Assignment showcase. Basically, we were asked to make a short film of how people can get HIV or people's reactions towards HIV. We were given about 3 months to prepare but for my group, we did it 1 week before the due date. So it was really a rush for us. Gathering the people to shot few scenes and editing the video are not something easy to do. We submitted our video after the due date and thank God my tutor still accepts.

So on last Monday, all videos submitted were being showcased in the lecture theater and we had judges to judge the top 3 videos, 1 best actor and 1 best actress. And amazingly, I got the best actress. I didn't expect it as I didn't think that I acted very well. It was my worst acting so far but thank God I did it =) and won an award. Thanks to my group member for contributing in this assignment and good job you guys - See En, Eileen, Kit Yee, Celine, Malini, Christy, Zhi Heng, Han Tek, Vincent, Yoong Kit and Jonathan.

Value of Studying/Learning

My final examination is commencing on next Monday. So lately, I've been busy preparing for my finals. But, I thought I would just blog for a little while to relax myself.

Even though I am only taking 5 subjects in this semester compared to when I was in Form 5 where I had to sit for 10 subjects, it's not easy as it seems. There are lots of information that I need to know, I need to remember, I need to understand. If I don't understand, I find it hard to remember. And the more I study, the more I think studying is boring. Everyday, we are just repeating the same old things - go to Uni to attend classes/lectures, if we don't understand we can ask our tutors or lecturers, and when we come back, we got to revise or study the same things again in order to help us to excel in our examinations. These same routines lead me to think what's the point of studying so hard when we go into the working world, we might not even apply some of the things that we've learnt? Yes, excelling in our studies will allow us to be knowledgeable and be successful in our career. But, if we think that the aim of studying is just to be knowledgeable and be successful in our career, studying and learning have lost their values. People will never comprehend what is the real meaning of studying anymore. They are just studying blindly because other people are doing so.

Just so suddenly, I do not have the mood to prepare for my presentation tomorrow and on Tuesday. My mind just feel so tired and can't function anymore. Argh!!!! I need some sleep. Sob Sob. Can't wait for the video shooting to be over soon. Can't wait to pass up my BST assignment because that will be the last one to submit. Furthermore, I can't wait for my speaking test to be over too. Then only I can focus solely on my Final Examination.

Happy Wok

Just few days ago, me and my friend wanted to go to Jo Jo's Little Kitchen to have Pan Mee for dinner. But to our disappointment it was closed. So, we passed by this restaurant named Happy Wok and decided to give their food a try. Happy Wok just started their business for like 1 or 2 months only I guess. The price range for set meal is about RM10 - RM 20 which I think is still okay because it comes together with two desserts and a drink.

I ordered this braised beef rice. Well, it tasted not bad, was just a little too salty for me. But, overall was still fine because the portion was big enough for me. As you can see from the picture below, they served it with minced chicken, tau fu, egg, and two types of vegetables. So, it was quite worth it.

Like I said just now, it comes together with two types of desserts. One is watermelon, another one is this !!!! Which I find it very interesting and something very unusual. It's a mixture of red beans, barley and my favourite - PEARLS !!!! This dessert was nice !!!! Something different right?

So if you ask me if I would recommend people to have lunch/dinner here, I would say YES. It's worth trying. =)

Respect

I get very frustrated when people don't respect you or ever her/himself. It's sad to know sometimes when you respect someone, that person doesn't respect you. You treat that person very nice but that person just never know how to appreciate it. They are only nice or kind to you when it's convenient to them.

I have experienced before that people do not respect me even though I've been so nice to them all these while. They not only disrespect me, but also invaded my privacy. I find it rude and unwise to do such a thing when almost all of us are big enough to think what are the right things to do and what are the wrong things that we shouldn't do. I don't understand how this kind of people never thought of other people's feeling. All they know is only me, I and myself. Self-centered and inconsiderate I would say.

Sometimes, when you stay with a person for too long, you can slowly get to know their bad habits which might irritate or annoy you every single day that sometimes you really feel like shouting and scolding them. But, thank God I have HIM in my life that I learn what's patience and how to be patient.

Many times, things may not go the way you want it or hope for. But, we still got to live with it and accept it. We can't control what people think or do, but we can control what we say, do or think. I've learnt in church that we should be quick to encourage and slow to criticize. I'm still learning to be like that. I admit sometimes I do go overboard and I regret doing it.

Whatever it is, we need to respect people if we want to gain respect from others.

Week after this is going to be my speaking test. And the week later is going to be my Moral short film showcase. And I will only have about 2 more weeks to study for my final.

Kuey Teow Soup

I've rotated this picture many times, but it just doesn't come out the way I rotated it. Anyway, just want to recommend to you all this Kuey Teow Soup at this Xin Fu Cheng Food Court at Mentari. The taste of it is nice and very homemade kind of kuey teow soup. I love it. It's not salty, there's not much of Ajinomoto. Serious, you all should really try it. They have other kinds of food as well like hokkien dai chao. Their mixed vegetables with rice is also very delicious. Not pricey also =)

The Brick

A young and successful executive was travelling down a neighborhood street, going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar.. He was watching for kids darting from between parked cars and slowed when he thought he saw something.

As his car passed, no children appeared. Instead, a brick smashed into Jag's side door! He slammed on the brakes and backed the Jag back to the spot where the brick had been thrown.

The angry driver then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and pushed him against a parked car shouting,

'What was that all about and who are you? Just what the heck are you doing? That's a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money. Why did you do it?' The young boy was apologetic. 'Please, mister...please, I'm sorry but I didn't know what else to do ,' He pleaded. ' I threw the brick because no one else would stop...' with tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car... 'It's my brother,' he said 'He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up.'

Now sobbing, the boy asked the stunned executive, 'Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair? He's hurt and he's too heavy for me.'

Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat... He hurriedly lifted the handicapped boy back into the wheelchair, the took out a linen handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh scrapes and cuts. A quick told him everything was going to be okay. 'Thank you and may God bless you,' the grateful child told the stranger. Too shook up for words, the man simply watched the boy! push his wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home...

It was a long, slow walk back to the Jaguar. The damage was very noticeable, but the driver never bothered to repair the dented side door. He kept the dent there to remind him of this message: 'Don't go through life so fast that someone has to throw a brick at you to get your attention!' God whispers in our souls and speaks to our hearts. Sometimes when we don't have time to listen, He has to throw a brick at us. It's our choice to listen or not.

First Round Interview

Yay! Just came back from interview. First round interview DOWN! Now, what I can do is just to wait until the end of next week for an sms, e-mail or a call if I am being shortlisted again. Everything is in God's hand. That's what I know for sure.

Did my interview went well? Well, i think it did because it was really an informal interview. They were just testing how well we can communicate with others and also to see our involvements in co-curricular activities.

What kind of questions did they ask? Well, they only two simple questions.

1) Tell us where is your hometown and something special about your hometown.

2) Tell us what is your favourite colour and why.

Simple? They were simple questions. And I bet everyone can answer it. It only depends on how well you can answer and speak.

So now you know how informal it was =)

Interview

So, tomorrow is the day of my interview. I'll be facing a new type of interview - group interview. I went for two interviews before this and there were all one-to-one interview. So, i seriously have no idea how a group interview is like. I only get to know a little bit about it through websites and friends. I didn't prepare anything except for the necessary documents. Am I nervous? Yes, I am. But, I'm telling myself that I want to depend on God and I want to rely on Him. His strength is my strength. I am surrendering all to Him and I know He is in control. Thanks to my parents who have been advising, encouraging and motivating me just now as I talked on the phone with them. They are AWESOME ! It helped to lessen down my level of nervousness. People, please keep me in your prayers. I really appreciate it :-) Thank you !

Scholarship Interview

Thank God! Just before the Easter play started yesterday, I received a message from Taylor's saying that I have been shortlisted for the first round interview on this coming Friday. I know that this does not mean that I got the scholarship already. But still I'm thanking God because since I have been shortlisted, means I have a chance. Pray for me people =) I'm starting to get nervous already even though I've gone through it before.

Telemarketer

Tomorrow will be my very first day and also my very first time working as a telemarketer. I was surprised when the staff told me that I will be helping with telemarketing instead of helping to key in data which was mentioned in the e-mail forwarded to me. However, I am willing to take this challenge. It will not be easy for me as I have no idea how am I supposed to talk on the phone to the people I'm call. I may say the wrong things, speak broken English or whatsoever, but I will still try my very best. 300++ calls to make in 9 hours. Jia you Bethany! You can do it!

Sunway Pyramid

My Friday timetable is a bit weird in my opinion. We have Business Statistics lecture at 8-10am. Then, we have a 4 and a half hour break in between before we start our next class at 2.30pm. So, since now my college already owns buses, we have shuttle services to Sunway Pyramid every weekdays until 7pm. So guess what? Definitely I would take this opportunity to hang out in Pyramid rather than to wait in college for so long and have no idea what to do. Haha

Taylor's bus is awesome. The drivers are experienced driver. The bus is very comfortable and there's TV on the bus !!!! Everyday they will show different movies.

Yesterday, me and my friends are suppose to attend the CircleK club meeting but we changed our mind. In the end, me and Kit Yee decided to go to Pyramid.

Here we go. Departing from Taylor's University. =)

We didn't have appetite at first, but when we reached Pyramid, me and Kit Yee just felt hungry. So we decided to go to The Manhattan Fish Market for lunch =) They are currently having this promotion !!!

Student's License to Privileges

All you have to do is just to tell them that you are a student or show them your student ID and you will have the privilege to order their set meal for RM10 nett (1 main dish plus drink (Bottomless)) Furthermore, you will get a 50% discount for dessert. Amazing!!!

After finish eating, we walked around, window shopping and stopped at a booth nearby the entrance to fold paper crane for Japan. For Japanese, paper crane is a symbol of peace. We can also write down our messages on the wings of the paper crane and put it in a box provided.

Kit Yee, learning how to fold paper crane =) Good job Kit Yee.

I find that the instruction of how to fold paper crane is confusing and hard to understand. You actually need someone to teach you and show it to you only you will be able to know how to fold it.

That's all for this post. I must say that I truly had a great time with you Kit Yee. I appreciate every moment we spent together. And I believer there will be more hang outs with all my wonderful friends. Thank God for a fruitful Friday. Not only about this, I attended the finale of fasting and praying week in church. It was really tremendous to see more and more people growing spiritually stronger. Thank God for the people who has participated in this event. God is awesome !

Bliss 33

Bliss 33 has nice nasi lemak and I guarantee you that you will get very full because the portion is big. A one whole egg (usually most restaurants only give half an egg), 2 poppadom, 1 big kunyit fried chicken plus all those necessary ingredients for nasi lemak. Yum Yum! Am I making you hungry now? :-)

This cafe is situated at USJ 9, another branch is at USJ 2 (I guess). They serve many food. So many choices that you do not know which to choose. Hehe. This nasi lemak costs me RM6.90 (If I'm not mistaken) which is very worth for KL standard.

Just find a day to try out their food. Their food is seriously not bad. Boleh masuk perut. LOL

Mamak at Lakeside

Third Week

Here I am again, Lakeside campus. I've promised myself that I would do my assignments and also study hard starting from my third week of semester. So, tomorrow will be the starting of my third week. Today shall be the last day of my relaxing time. No more playing games too much. I am going to focus on my studies and do my very best. I know God is with me and He is going through this wonderful journey with me.

Harvest Generation church is having a fast and pray week. From today onwards until Friday. I believe this is going to be a breakthrough time for our church and a breakthrough time for our spiritual life. I know I am going to do it. Nothing can stop me.

'Help me O Lord as I start my fasting and praying week. I always know that you are my source of strength and source of hope. You have always assured me that I am not alone. You are with me' =)

The Rain

It was a busy
morning, about 8:30, when an elderly gentleman in his 80's arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He said he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am.

I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would to able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound. On exam, it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound.

While taking care of his wound, I asked him if he had another doctor's appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry.

The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to

the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife. I inquired as to her health.

He told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer's Disease.

As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late.

He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now.

I was surprised, and asked him, 'And you still go every morning, even though she doesn't know who you are?'

He smiled as he patted my hand and said,

'She doesn't

know me, but I still know who she is.'

I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm, and thought,

'That is

the kind of love I want in my life.'

True love is neither physical, nor romantic.

True love is an
acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not
be.

With all the jokes
and fun that are in e-mails, sometimes there is one that comes along that has an important message.. This one I thought I could share with you.

I held tightly to my husband as we hurried to catch a taxi. Night had settled, but the city continued to pulsate with a steady flow of cars, motorcycles, and people. Rounding a corner, I saw her sleeping in front of a store. Light from the doorway highlighted her young face, and her thin blanket came up short in covering her dirty socks and flip-flops. I had come thousands of miles to Sao Paulo, Brazil, to speak to women about their God-given value and His empowering love, yet I felt powerless to help the woman lying in front of me.

Matthew 9:36-38 records the heartbeat of Christ as He looked with compassion on crowds of people who came to Him. Moved by their great needs, Jesus used the situation to teach His disciples. Interestingly, Jesus didn't tell His disciples to pray for opportunities to reach out. Jesus knew the poor would always be with them (Mark 14:7). Opportunity isn't the need; laborers are.

Perhaps we find it easier to pray for opportunities rather than understand that every day - every moment - provides divine appointments. As those who carry the life of Christ in us, we carry the restorative anointing Isaiah speaks of. But we can't do it alone.

Each of us is " a rebuilder of walls and a restorer of homes" (Isaiah 58:12) when we reach out to those in need, and when we pray for God to raise up laborers in our midst. Both motivate us to action. The women I spoke to that night needed to hear that God places great value on their lives and that He heals broken hearts. The woman sleeping on the street, and countless others like her, are waiting to hear that good news. - Regina Franklin

Many people prefer Step Up 3, but i personally think that Step Up 2:The Streets is still the best. Why? The dancers are better in my opinion. Furthermore, the ending is fantastic especially the part where they dance in the rain. It is very cool ! The girl is very strong dancer I would say compared to the one in Step Up 3.

Disappointment

Too many people put off something that brings them joy just because they haven't thought about it, don't have it on their schedule, didn't know it was coming or are too rigid to depart from their routine.

I got to thinking one day about all those women on the Titanic who passed up dessert at dinner that fateful night in an effort to cut back. From then on, I've tried to be a little more flexible.

How many women out there will eat at home because their husband didn't suggest going out to dinner until after something had been thawed? Does the word 'refrigeration' mean nothing to you?

How often have your kids dropped in to talk and sat in silence while you watched ' Jeopardy ' on television?

I cannot count the times I called my sister and said, 'How about going to lunch in a half hour?' She would gas up and stammer, 'I can't. I have clothes on the line. My hair is dirty. I wish I had known yesterday, I had a late breakfast, It looks like rain.' And my personal favorite: 'It's Monday.' She died a few years ago. We never did have lunch together.

Because we cram so much into their lives, we tend to schedule our headaches. We live on a sparse diet of promises we make to ourselves when all the conditions are perfect!

We'll go back and visit the grandparents when we get Steve toilet-trained. We'll entertain when we replace the living-room carpet... We'll go on a second honeymoon when we get two more kids out of college.

Life has a way of accelerating as we get older. The days get shorter, and the list of promises to ourselves gets longer. One morning, we awaken, and all we have to show for our lives is a litany of 'I'm going to,' 'I plan on,' and 'Someday, when things are settled down a bit.'

When anyone calls my 'seize the moment' friend, she is open to adventure and available for trips. She keeps an open mind on new ideas. Her enthusiasm for life is contagious. You talk with her for five minutes, and you're ready to trade your bad feet for a pair of Roller blades and skip an elevator for a bungee cord..

My lips have not touched ice cream in 10 years. I love ice cream. It's just that I might as well apply it directly to my stomach with a spatula and eliminate the digestive process The other day, I stopped the car and bought a triple-Decker. If my car had hit an iceberg on the way home, I would have died happy.

Now...go on and have a nice day. Do something you WANT to......not something on your SHOULD DO list. If you were going to die soon and had only one phone call you could make, who would you call and what would you say? And why are you waiting?

Make sure you read this to the end; you will understand why I sent this to you.

Have you ever watched kids playing on a merry go round or listened to the rain lapping on the ground? Ever followed a butter fly's erratic flight or gazed at the sun into the fading night? Do you run through each day on the fly? When you ask ' How are you?' Do you hear the reply?

When the day is done, do you lie in your bed with the next hundred chores running through your head? Ever told your child, 'We'll do it tomorrow.' And in your haste, not see his sorrow? Ever lost touch? Let a good friendship die? Just call to say 'Hi?

When you worry and hurry through your day, it is like an unopened gift....Thrown away..... Life is not a race. Take it slower. Hear the music before the song is over.

I cherish our friendship and appreciate all you do. 'Life may not be the party we hoped for.. but while we are here we might as well dance!

I've shared 2 movies so far that I like. Here's the third one.

What I find amazing in this movie is the creativity of the producer. The animation is cool !!!! The scenery is wonderful. I've watched in television once about the making of this movie. How they came out with all those unique characters, the voices of the characters......

If you are feeling bored at home during your holidays and want to just relax and watch movie at home, I will surely recommend you to watch this !!! =)

Can you imagine yourself becoming an avatar in real life??? Living in an AVATAR WORLD??? Haha.

Here's another movie that I really like. A Walt Disney classic, Beauty and the Beast. Haha. The characters are interesting because they can talk, sing, dance....Don't you all think they are cute? =) How I wish in real life there are talking tea pot, tea cup, candle stick, duster, clock....haha....my whole house will be so interesting. And I will never get bored of being alone. Lol.....If you do like this movie as well, just tick nice/interesting/agree...Just want to know how many of you like it too. :D

Always, we judge people more than we judge our self. We always think that other people are always in the wrong and we are always in the right. We are always better than other people. But, don't you all think that we should also look at our self in the mirror and ask, 'Am I a good person? Have I ever offended someone?'

We often criticize people who have offended us or hurt us. But, have we ever wonder that someone has been hurt by us too? We have a self-centered mind. Always think of our own feelings but never think of others' feelings. When things do not go our way, we get offended, hurt, angry and frustrated. Then, we will start commenting, judging and criticizing.

I admit I've gone through all those things. And I am still learning to think of others and not only myself. I might have offended many of my friends without me realizing it. I wouldn't blame others for my own fault. So friends, if ever I have offended you, please do forgive me. I do not want to hate nor dislike anyone. But I want to be friends and be kind to everyone I know.

And remember (of course, reminding myself too), look in the mirror.

SS3 Western Food

Well, in most places, western food is very pricey. One plate of Chicken Chop may cost you not less that RM10. But here's a place where you can get cheap western food which will cost you less that RM10. There's this stall in SS3 sells very delicious western food. I have tried many times to memorize the name of the restaurant but I just can't. Don't know why the name just doesn't stay in my head. Anyway, let me introduce you to some of the western food that they sell.

3. Mixed grill. I think it costs only RM10 if I'm not mistaken

4. Mexican Chicken

The chicken chop is very tasty too. Haha. If you are a food lover, go and try it. I'm sure you will love it too. My family, my aunt and myself went the other day, 6 of us. It costs us less than RM60 I guess and each of us a plate. Don't you think that is very cheap? Haha. Hope you guys enjoy even just looking at the pictures =)

Uncle Ted

On CNY's eve, while we were on the way back from Kuala Lumpur, we stopped by at Bentong, Pahang to visit my granduncle, Uncle Ted =) It was nice to finally meet him.

We had a wonderful time with him at his house. Let me share with you guys. You all will never find where his house is. Haha

His house is situated beside the highway and inside the rubber estate.

Dad drove in while me, my mom, my sisters and Uncle Ted walked in.

So here's his house. Big bungalow.

Well, I didn't take many pictures of his house. It's not a good thing. Haha. And look what I've found. Taylor's oldest advertisement board. Hehe. Uncle Ted used to be Taylor's principal for about 20 years. He is now 84 years old. Still strong and healthy.

He has lots of IQ type of games example: this blocks. The method of playing it is to unstack all the blocks and stack it back again until you get a 3D square shape.

Congkak. I love to play this when I was small. It made me miss my childhood times when I saw this. But something different about this is that,......

we use guli, but they use shells to play. Unique

Shou's Birthday

On the 4th of March (Friday), we celebrated Hon Shou's belated birthday !!! Happy Belated Birthday again old friend =) Sorry for posting this after so long. But still, it is something that is worth sharing and worth to remember.

Erm....I kind of forget where did we go for dinner....

Oh, Billy Cafe at Kebun Sultan. It was a nice place, nice environment. But their drinks and foods are really pricey. Well anyway, celebrating friend's birthday is something we do once a year so spending a little bit more it's okay.

Despite the high prices. their food and drinks are not bad. Quite nice I would say.

This drink is called Banana Milkshake? Haha. I don't really remember...I know it is banana flavour.

If someone has offended us, do you think it is wise to shut that person out of your life forever? Do you think it is a good thing to do by ignoring that person, choosing not to even look at them?

We always have a choice when it comes to solving problem. We can either choose to talk things over and continue the friendship or run away from it. In my opinion, running away from problems does not help us to overcome it but cause more pain and hurt in our lives.

It is sad that when this kind of things happen between ourselves with brothers/sisters-in-Christ in church. A church is like a family. Does not mean that, that person has to be related. It is the bond that we have matters. I think it is time for each and everyone of us to grow spiritually stronger and to become wiser when it comes to making decisions. It does not matter how old we are, we are still in a learning phase. Being old sometimes does not mean that you are wiser.

I really pray that we can always have a good relationship with our friends and even family members. You never know that God is actually using you to change some one's life. -=)

Holidays

Want to share some pictures with you all but the uploading is taking too slow so I guess I will just have to wait until I go back to Subang. Furthermore, this laptop that I'm using now cannot read my hand phone memory. Haiz....

You all must be wondering how I spend my holidays so far. Well, nothing much. It started well because my family members were having a week of holiday because of CNY; but now, no more holidays for them and I am always all alone at home until my mom and sisters come back from school. So what do I do when I am alone? Online, blogging, play online games, attend church service and youth meeting. That's all. House work? Sometimes ( I'm just too lazy to do housework except to cook and wash the dishes. LOL ) However, I am still satisfied enough because I got to just stay at home everyday. Not feeling exhausted nor tired nor stress. Not like when I am in Subang.

Time passes real fast and is already the third week of my two months holiday. I want to meet up with my ex-schoolmates but they have all gone back to their colleges/universities. So, I am the only one who is having a very long holiday. Haha.

Anyway, talking about this week. Went for worship practice last night. I am glad that I have the opportunity to be a keyboardist again. Though I do not really know how to play few chords but still doing fine as long as you do not show me a sheet of music notes. Haha. I do not know how to read music notes because I have never been to a piano lesson before except to learn the basics from my mom. Today will be just the three of us, me and my two sisters 'conquering' the day (huh?). Tomorrow is Friday service and night, we are going to have youth CNY party. I am sure we are going to have loads of fun. I'm going to prepare Spaghetti for the party. Yay!

Well, I have better stop now. Need to cook later. Have a nice day my loyal readers. =)

John 10:10 - ' The thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

A few years ago, an attempted bank robbery was thwarted when an armed and courageous customer stopped a man who claimed to have a bomb strapped to his chest. Here's what happened. Shortly after the bank opened, a man approached a teller and threatened to detonate a bomb if she didn't hand over the money. Another teller, who saw what was going down, alerted long-time customer Nabil Fawzi, who happened to be legally packing a handgun.

Calmly, Fawzi pulled out his concealed pistol, pointed it at the robber and firmly announced, "You are not robbing this bank today!" He then ordered the thief to sit in a chair and held him at gunpoint until police arrived.

Most of us won't witness a robbery at our local bank, but Jesus warned that we all are in danger of being robbed. When He described Himself as the "Good Shepherd" (John 10:11), Jesus reminded His followers that there is an unseen thief who is out "to steal and kill and destroy" the life He came to restore (John 10:10).

The "thief" Jesus referred to is Satan - the once mightiest of angels who fell when he became arrogant and turned against his Maker (Isaiah 14:12-14). Though God defeated Satan's attempt to overthrow heaven, Satan and his fallen angels are still active today.

Jesus wants to give us life, and Satan wants to steal it away. The evil one is bent on keeping us from the life with God that he once had but can never get back. It's imperative that we know this, so that we can be alert and resist him (1 Peter 5:8-9).

Satan is an accomplished thief, but we're far from helpless. Like Nabi Fawzi, we are armed (but with God's truth) and can firmly tell him, "Not today!" - Jeff Olson

Dinner

Went dinner with Caleb at USJ Murni. We went around Taipan for like few minutes not knowing what and where to eat. And then finally, Caleb said 'let's go murni.' I just said ok....because I seriously did not know where else to go for dinner.

After dinner, we went to tutti frutti for dessert. The yogurt was nice. We tried Chocolate, Vanilla, Pomegranate, Grape, Natural and Strawberry Banana flavours. All flavours were nice except for Grape, it's quite sour. I didn't like.

This is definitely mine because if you see the next picture, you will definitely know why.
it's messier....see...so it's Caleb's..haha

When you first started college life, you will be wondering who will you be mixing or hanging out with. You get so worried that you are afraid that you won't have any friends and you do not know who to be friend with. Let me tell you this, do not be afraid to start knowing someone especially your classmates. Be courageous enough to take the first step. Then, slowly you will find out the type of friends you can be with comfortably and you will eventually form your own gang of friends without even you noticing it at first. So...haha...yeah, I have my own group of friends that I always hang out with in college. Let me introduce them one by one.

1. Farah - the only Malay girl in our class who sneeze very differently from others. Every time she sneezes, you might just stare at her for few seconds then only you laugh.

2. Malini - mushroom head. hehe. Always bully Celine. Right people?
